I have been working for KNF since 2009, when I had just graduated from high school and started a vocational college course combining work and study. It was an ideal way to enter the world of work – I learned a lot right from the beginning and had a say in everyday decisions. I also found that the combination of theoretical learning and hands-on experience was perfect for me, as I could take the theory I had learned in class and put it into practice straight away.
I originally decided to apply to KNF based on the company’s global outlook, as well as its technical focus. I liked the idea of working with an international team and having the opportunity to work abroad. During my studies, I was able to spend some time at our location in England. I gained valuable experience there as well as linguistic and cultural skills which have contributed to my professional success and personal growth within the company.
After finishing my course, I stayed on at KNF as an Area Sales Manager in Direct Export and was eventually promoted to Team Lead in the same department. I then moved on to my current role, Head of Export Sales. I am very thankful for the trust that KNF has placed in me. Being given so much responsibility at such an early stage in my career is not something I take for granted.
I also appreciate the freedom we are given in the Sales department. Within reasonable limits, we can organize our day-to-day work however we feel is most conducive to our personal growth within the company. In my opinion, this is what makes KNF such a wonderful place to work. I feel supported as an individual and that keeps me motivated day after day.
