KNF Introduces New FM 50 Series for Liquid Metering
With an entirely new pump series, KNF offers OEM liquid diaphragm pumps that deliver outstanding precision and are ideal for demanding applications.
An all-new line of KNF diaphragm pumps makes liquid metering more accurate, easier and more customizable than ever before. In addition, the FM 50 uses the latest pump drive technology, allowing individual parameterization for easy system integration and outstanding durability.
Maximum Precision Even Under Changing Conditions
The new KNF FM 50 delivers a flow rate of 100-500 ml/min with an exceptionally high setpoint accuracy of +/- 2% and a highly linear pump characteristic. The flow rate remains linear, even under changing conditions, with a back pressure of up to 1 bar (rel.). This makes it ideal for applications that require a precisely adjustable flow rate and benefit from the advantages of diaphragm pump technology, such as chemical compatibility, tightness, gentle fluid handling or reliability.
Advanced Motor Makes Metering Pump Integration Easy
Customers can choose to use a control voltage or PWM signal to adjust the flow rate. A standard FM 50 delivers 100 ml/min at 1 V or 20% PWM and 500 ml/min at 5 V or 100% PWM, with a highly linear flow rate between these two minimum and maximum operating points. However, because the advanced pump drive is designed and manufactured in-house by KNF, the motor can be parameterized at the factory to meet the customer's individual needs. This includes performing a 2-point calibration that changes the position of the minimum and maximum points.
The Ideal Choice for Many Metering Applications
The FM 50's polypropylene head, combined with an EPDM or PTFE diaphragm and EPDM or FFKM valves, enables the pump to safely transfer most liquids, making it the ideal choice for a wide range of applications, including inkjet technology, the medical industry and food and beverage handling. In addition, the new FM 50 is leak-tight, self-priming and dry-run safe, making it a true asset for most liquid metering applications.
