Giving Back at Home
KNF is a global company, meaning we are locals in many different places. This comes with great responsibility, which we take seriously. For us, integrity includes respecting local laws, norms, customs, and cultural differences, but it goes beyond that. We strive to make a positive contribution to the areas in which we operate. At all our locations, we share a common ambition: demonstrating respect for our local communities and environments by actively engaging as responsible citizens. We think long-term and invest in our locations to minimize environmental impact now and in the future. We engage in dialogue with local stakeholders, and actively participate in projects that enhance the social and ecological well-being of our communities.
Using Latest Building Technologies for Minimal Consumption
KNF has implemented a series of modernization initiatives across all three Product Centers. KNF Micro AG has been expanded, doubling its floor space to ensure a modern and efficient workplace for all employees. Meanwhile, KNF Neuberger GmbH and KNF Flodos AG have undergone extensive modernization efforts, including the installation of photovoltaic systems on their roofs to significantly enhance renewable electricity production. Additionally, state-of-the-art heating and cooling systems have been integrated, along with various smaller initiatives such as the provision of electric vehicle chargers, all aimed at improving their ecological footprint.
Local Partnerships Enable Direct Impact
Our highly localized partnership approach allows our locations, regardless of size, to enter into very specific partnerships based on their own judgment. One example of such a local initiative is that our Chinese location sponsored the Hongshan Forest Zoo during the pandemic and supported it with animal sponsorships. This not only helped to ensure the zoo's continued existence, but also to provide for the animals when ticket sales fell away.
