Working at KNF Micro

The laboratory is part of the development and design department. Here, pump performance data is determined, special and prototype pumps are designed and measured, endurance tests are performed and monitored, and measurement results are documented and evaluated. In this way, the test department is always involved in the development of new, revised or improved products and systems.

The KNF Micro team is very dynamic. The atmosphere is proactive and everyone works together to make a difference. Here, I am not just another employee - everyone's voice is heard. This allows me to contribute my ideas and I often see the direct impact of my actions, which motivates me to get better at what I do every day.

We know each other in the company. Positive and negative feedback is openly discussed, both praise and criticism are accepted, and we support each other in becoming better and better.

As an assembler, I work with my colleagues to assemble the pumps from A to Z, check their quality and hand them over to the packaging department for shipment. Since KNF pumps are mostly customized solutions, my work in assembly is very varied. I usually assemble many different types of pumps in a week, all of which are based on a modular system.

I joined KNF Micro as a newcomer in 2016. Previously, I had worked in a completely different industry, and KNF gave me the opportunity to learn something new. This was my entry into the world of assembly.

KNF Micro allows you to grow and develop your potential. Everyone is always open to ideas and suggestions and willing to teach new things. I have already gained experience in several areas. These include assembly, shipping and packing, receiving, warehousing and managing a team of three to four people. Accepting new challenges is my philosophy in life.

As Production Team Leader, I have been with KNF Micro since it was founded in 2012 and am responsible for a very broad area. My department includes assembly, personnel planning, production technology, logistics and, last but not least, strategic tasks such as production control, time recording and our CIP processes. In total, our production department has over 35 employees and I am in close contact with other departments.

Since I started in 2012, I have enjoyed being part of the family-owned KNF Group. Taking on the role of team leader was new territory for me. I have really grown in my new position, I am learning new things and I enjoy coming to work every day with my colleagues.

Starting this summer, I am looking forward to working with our mechanical apprentices as an instructor.  

I appreciate the cooperation between all employees and the family team spirit that is actively promoted at KNF Micro. My supervisors are honest and always willing to listen. For me, KNF Micro is a great employer that stands for innovation and quality.

My journey began in 2010 with an apprenticeship as a design engineer at KNF Flodos. After successfully completing my apprenticeship, I started studying mechanical engineering full time and then rejoined the KNF family, in this case KNF Micro. I was responsible for product support projects and the development of customer projects. After further training in business administration, I took on the internal role of Customer Project Manager and Key Account Manager.

KNF Micro offers many opportunities for development and is innovative and modern. New technologies enable us to meet the ever-increasing demands of our customers. Despite its rapid growth in recent years, KNF Micro has remained a family-run company where everyone knows everyone else.

One of the things I really appreciate about KNF is the teamwork. People help each other in challenging situations, and successes are celebrated accordingly. There is a "we" mentality at all hierarchical levels. And that doesn't just apply to KNF Micro, but to the entire KNF Group. As a Customer Project Manager, I am motivated by the daily contact with our customers and by supporting their innovation projects.

In operational purchasing, we procure goods in the right quantities and at the right time so that our micropumps can be built on time. This is a big challenge for our department, as long delivery times and shortages of raw materials can make it difficult to procure goods. Thanks to our drive and organizational skills, we make sure that everything runs smoothly.

Our main tasks are scheduling, monitoring delivery dates, negotiating and comparing prices, evaluating suppliers, maintaining master data, and much more.

KNF supports its employees and focuses on education and training. Everyone has the opportunity to grow and learn. At KNF you can feel that you matter. Questions and problems are always listened to, and suggestions for improvement are considered and implemented wherever possible. I really appreciate that.

The overall atmosphere and family feeling in all departments is excellent, no matter what position you work in. I look forward to the future at KNF.

As Managing Director of KNF Micro, I have overall entrepreneurial responsibility.

Together with my colleagues on the Management Board, we are responsible for the implementation of all operational tasks. We ensure and develop the competitiveness and quality of our products and services.

I also represent KNF Micro within the KNF Group and am the first point of contact for all business matters.

At KNF Micro, the youngest product center in the KNF Group, the start-up spirit is always present. This is an important factor in the very good atmosphere and ultimately in the sustainable success of our company. Everyone is motivated, takes responsibility for their own area, optimizes, tackles and implements. This enables us to translate our customers' needs into innovative, reliable and durable micro gas pumps.
