Pump Simulation Software for Fluidic System Simulation

KNF’s Nautilus web-based fluidics simulation application  is named after the nautilus mollusk, a remarkable animal and an example of a natural fluidic system. It helps engineers digitally model and optimize fluid movement before physical testing begins. Like its namesake, which efficiently manages liquid movement through its internal chambers, Nautilus helps users better understand and optimize fluid behavior within their own systems. KNF’s new software is designed to create detailed simulations of fluidic systems.

Customers can use the system without any cost or commitment to evaluate how Smooth Flow pumps fit within their application. System requirements, including liquid density, motor speed, and pressure, can be entered into the software by the customer. This ensures a potential pump option is capable of effectively handling system requirements. Customers can continue using Nautilus while working with KNF engineers. This helps reduce testing efforts, speeds up pump selection, and makes system integration more efficient. Nautilus is designed for use with KNF’s wide range of Smooth Flow diaphragm liquid pumps.

How Nautilus Works

Nautilus helps customers evaluate pump performance early in the selection process. Users can simply drag and drop system components including reservoirs, pumps, filters, and valves to digitally recreate systems, while also accounting for factors like flow resistance. Customers can provide information like liquid density and viscosity to further ensure test accuracy. Once the assets are connected, they can run simulations to determine how different pumps will perform within the system. This enables KNF engineers to have comprehensive insights into how pumps will perform in fluidic systems, reducing the need for on-site testing and down time, as well as shortening development and integration processes.
