KNF at Analytica 2022

Three new diaphragm pumps for analytical chemistry systems

From June 21–24, 2022, KNF will be presenting its latest product developments for manufacturers of analytical instrument solutions to industry experts at Analytica in Munich in hall A1, booth 514. There will be several Analytica firsts: a new diaphragm gas pump and two smooth flow pumps for contamination-free media handling.

Quick vacuum for applications in analytical instruments

The N 952 diaphragm gas pump is the pump of choice for attaining a deep ultimate vacuum while maintaining a consistently high flow rate. This makes the latest KNF development ideally suited for analytical instrument applications, where vacuums must be both deep and particularly quick to obtain. For example, pre-vacuums for turbopumps and vessel pump-down require this combination. Boasting a maximum flow rate of 36 l/min, the oil-free pump excels when it comes to pump-down time. The maximum ultimate vacuum is 1.5 mbar abs.

Excellent vibration and noise behavior

What is more, the excellent vibration and noise behavior of the N 952 – exceptional for a pump of this size – make for a winning solution. KNF has developed a new generation of brushless motors, specifically for the N 952 vacuum pump. This exclusive drive solution enables the roughing pump to perform at top performance even when rotational speed is low – a deciding factor in keeping noise and vibration low.

Digital parametrization available

Like all KNF motors of the digital customization series developed in-house, the new generation can be controlled digitally or analogously. Digital parametrization facilitates the exact mapping of specific start-up characteristics, a dynamic operating profile and safety patterns that meet the requirements of the process. This makes the N 952 series vacuum pumps with rotational speed control custom-fit components for analytical instrument systems.

Low-pulsation liquid transfer for ultrapure water systems

The standout feature of the Smooth Flow pump series is particularly low-pulsation pumping. The new oil-free FP 1.150 and FP 1.400 liquid pumps for deionized water systems enable contamination-free handling and can be operated continuously, even at high pressure. Combined with quiet operation and an adjustable flow rate, this is an ideal solution. The FDA-certified pumps sport a flow rate of up to 1.1 l/min (FP 1.150) and 4.4 l/min (FP 1.400).
