But where does the basic research behind these developments take place, and where are the researchers trained? One leading organic chemistry laboratory is in Bavaria, Germany, in the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).
Resistant to solvents – and much more
KNF’s lab pumps and systems have long proven indispensable to students and researchers at the FAU, as Dr. Frank Hampel, scientist and administrator, explains: “We’ve been using pumps from KNF since the mid-1990s.
