Trade show visitors will experience new state-of-the-art pump technologies for the demanding requirements of 3D printing.
KNF will present the newest diaphragm pump solutions for 3D printing applications at this year’s Formnext in Frankfurt am Main from 7th to 10th November 2023. These powerful pumps perform various tasks of 3D printing and are customizable to perfectly meet the specific needs of this modern industry.
New Micro Gas Pump for Meniscus Control and Purging
One of the pumps on display will be the new NMP 820 micro-diaphragm gas pump. Its compact dimensions, outstanding performance-to-size ratio and low vibration make it ideal for installation in header tanks. The powerful pump can be used for both meniscus control and purging applications. In its standard version, the new NMP 820 transfers up to 2.1 liters per minute of free flow, delivers pressures up to 1.2 bar relative and generates a vacuum down to 330 mbar absolute.
Highly Customizable for a Perfect Fit
The new pump is flexibly customizable, with the option of adding a second pump head to increase free flow to 3.5 l/min when the heads are connected in parallel. When the two heads are connected in series, the pump can deliver a final vacuum of up to 100 mbar abs. In addition, the eccentric can be customized to match the pump's operating point to actual requirements, making it highly efficient. Customers can also select a brushless DC motor for maximum pump life and controllability.
The NMP 820 is the latest member of the KNF micro gas pump portfolio and perfectly suited for the demanding requirements of the 3D printing industry.
