Air Purifiers for Local Primary School
KNF actively contributes to COVID-19 protection
The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic requires numerous hygiene measures. Alongside regular ventilation, wearing masks and distancing from others, another possible measure is to use air purifiers. According to the German Environment Agency, air purifiers are a good way to help reduce aerosols in indoor air and consequently minimize the risk of infection. Currently, there is an increasing demand to install these in schools. The German state of Baden-Württemberg is supporting local communities to purchase portable air purifiers through a more than 60 million euros worth subsidy program. Until now, takeup has been slow. For already struggling authorities, having to apply for subsidies as well as purchasing the devices are yet more hurdles.
Meanwhile, the school Lindenbergschule in Munzingen was delighted to receive help straight away in the once again tense situation. Local pump manufacturer, KNF Neuberger GmbH, has donated two portable air filter devices. Johannes Weber, Head of Finance and Administration at KNF Neuberger GmbH, explains the company’s independent initiative: “The pandemic has shown us how important it is to support each other, to help solve specific problems and to come up with practical, unbureaucratic solutions.”
Mayor Christian Schildecker added, “Munzingen has a partner in KNF, a company rooted in the community for decades and which feels and lives this connection. The company has always supported community life, be it through sponsoring local clubs, providing car parking spaces for local events, or as in this case, by gifting two high-grade room air purifiers. We’re always delighted to see their innovative ideas of community engagement. On behalf of the people of Munzingen, a huge thank you to KNF.”
The KNF Neuberger GmbH, with its registered office in Freiburg-Munzingen, has shown great commitment since the beginning of the pandemic and has even stepped up its already high engagement considerably in the last few months. Extra vacation days for already vaccinated employees and an in-company vaccination program are just two examples of how the family-run global company has supported its team throughout the pandemic.
