KNF N 1400 diaphragm pump for drying hydrogen
KNF to Exhibit at ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi
This year’s ADIPEC exhibition and conference is focusing on the decarbonization of the energy sector
At the ADIPEC 2023 exhibition and conference in Abu Dhabi, experts from around the world will focus on the challenging question of how to build a secure, affordable and sustainable energy system.
Much attention is being paid to hydrogen technology as a promising option for decarbonizing the energy sector.
KNF’s liquid pumps and gas pumps have properties that make them ideal for handling hydrogen and hydrogen carriers. Day in, day out, KNF pumps demonstrate their performance by fulfilling a range of tasks in numerous systems around the world. KNF will exhibit a selection of ex-proof and non ex-proof pumps at ADIPEC.
Decarbonization is the main topic of ADIPEC
At ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi from October 2–5, leading experts and companies from the energy sector will come together under the motto “Decarbonising. Faster. Together.” to present innovative approaches and technologies with the potential to pave the way towards a sustainable and low-emissions future.
Low-carbon hydrogen is generally considered a crucial part in this transition process. A huge benefit of hydrogen technology is that hydrogen and in particular hydrogen carriers can be stored and transported flexibly.
According to ADIPEC, it is estimated that hydrogen could account for up to 18% of annual global emissions reductions by 2050. Projects and initiatives along the hydrogen value chain have recently been gaining a remarkable momentum.
KNF is responding to these dynamics with its growing range of pumps for hydrogen and fuel cells. The company will present its N 938 and N 952 gas pump series at ADIPEC for the first time.
New gastight KNF pumps for hydrogen and fuel cells at ADIPEC
KNF will exhibit a selection of its pumps for use in the hydrogen and fuel cell technology sector at ADIPEC in hall 8, stand 8838. Visitors to KNF’s stand will be able to see tried-and-tested diaphragm pump technology that is already in use in international decarbonization projects as well as KNF’s latest pump innovations. The range of ex-proof and non ex-proof pumps on display will also feature the two new N 938 and N 952 product series.
New KNF N 938 gas pump for the recirculation of hydrogen
The KNF N 938 diaphragm pump will make its debut on a world stage when it is presented at ADIPEC. Featuring high leak-tightness, the N 938 is a new addition to KNF’s range of durable hydrogen pumps. The gas pump series comes with one or two heads and features a flow rate of up to 53 l/min. Different options are available for the materials used for pump components that come into contact with the medium – namely the pump head, diaphragm, and valves. The ambient and medium temperature range of up to +40 degrees Celsius can also be increased depending on requirements.
The new gas pump’s compact design is just one of the reasons why it is excellently suited for recirculating hydrogen in fuel cells. Above all, the ability to fully parametrize KNF’s N 938 pump makes it the ideal recirculation pump in applications where particular importance is placed on fuel cell system efficiency. The customizable pump curves enable the pump to operate economically and allow the anode to be efficiently supplied with hydrogen.
KNF N 952 vacuum pump for hydrogen technology to be presented at ADIPEC for the first time
With its ability to generate a deep vacuum quickly, the KNF N 952 is especially beneficial for use with instrumental analysis devices. It increases safety by providing measurements fast to assist with detecting or determining the quality of hydrogen. During the research of new materials and chemicals for use with hydrogen technology, this rapid provision of measurements increases throughput, making the pump ideal for supporting and advancing the pace of research in this field.
The KNF N 952 vacuum pump quickly reaches a maximum vacuum of 1.5 mbar abs at a maximum flow rate of 36 l/min. The vacuum pump responds to digital or analog controls and, like the N 938, is fully parametrizable to enable the creation of customized operating profiles.
