Many applications require gas-tight pumps. These include handling explosive, toxic or otherwise dangerous gases or vapors as well as highly expensive media and media that must remain ultra-pure. For these demanding applications, KNF offers state-of-the-art leak-tight diaphragm gas pumps that offer all advantages of diaphragm pump technology such as chemical compatibility, oil-free operation, cleanliness, and high reliability with low to no maintenance requirements. This allows effective media loss prevention and contamination-free transfer.
Leak-Tight Diaphragm Gas Pumps You Can Rely On
The Technology Behind KNF Pumps With Maximum Leak-Tightness
KNF uses several technical solutions to achieve outstanding leak-tightness. This includes the use of pumps with O-ring seals as well as offering pump head material options that ensure a tight seal in combination with high-precision pump head machining. Like all KNF pumps, every sealed pump is tested for maximum reliability before shipping. Depending on the customer specifications or regulatory requirements, different test methods can be selected, including highly precise helium leak testing.

The Safe Option: Secondary Diaphragm for Added Protection
Some applications require maximum safety even in the most unlikely events. For this reason, KNF offers the option for an additional safety diaphragm to many of the low leakage pumps. This secondary diaphragm prevents media loss even in the unlikely event of a rupture or puncture of the working diaphragm.
