KNF Has Founded a Future Lab
Start-up culture to be driving force behind KNF’s digitalization
KNF has founded its new Future Lab in Hamburg. The KNF Digital Acceleration Center GmbH, or DAC for short, is the result of a comprehensive long-term digital strategy designed to help KNF face up to the challenges of the future. The new company will act as a driving force in the field of digitalization and promote a culture of innovation as well as boosting KNF’s external impact.
The DAC is located in the coworking space WeWork. “This offers a start-up culture that meets our expectations of the new world of work,” explains Reto Furrer, Managing Director of the DAC and CMO of the KNF Group. Freelancers, creative professionals, and start-ups as well as established companies such as KNF use these modern spaces not just to work but to develop new forms of working. They also enjoy opportunities for networking, exchange, cooperation, and mutual inspiration.
“The DAC provides us with the new resources needed to realize our digital projects. It is heavily geared toward implementation and operates like a service center for the KNF Group,” explains Reto Furrer. “The DAC identifies and utilizes synergy effects in cross-location projects and will help develop the emerging forms of digital cooperation within the Group and with customers into a new corporate culture,” he adds. KNF is also faced with the challenge of assessing how far the company can open up without endangering the competitive edge it gains from its expertise. “We need to make sure we keep the right balance here.”
The DAC is designed to spread the philosophy of collaboration, networking, and opening up both inwards and outwards – not just in theory but in practice. It will also develop a mutual knowledge management system and innovative online marketing concepts to be incorporated into the Group’s long-term strategy.
